This is a recipe / formula for crocheting balls of various sizes with any yarn weight and gauge. It works best for smaller balls, and may not be so great for balls over about 8” in diameter.

The pattern uses an easy table to figure out how many rounds to work, based on your particular gauge and the size of ball you want to make. No swatching is necessary, just work the beginning rounds until you reach the size you want, then follow the instructions in the table to finish.
