This pattern produces a beautiful, quirky but deeply practical muff in the shape of a loveheart that is identical to the original version of the Loveheart Muff Handwarmer pattern except… this simpler version uses more basic techniques so has unobtrusive seams at the side.

The muff features hidden ribbed pockets to cling gently but firmly to little hands, avoiding the need for neck-strings. The double-layer plus air gap makes it much warmer than mitts or gloves alone!

My little models liked holding hands in the muff - there’s plenty of time for you to knit this muff in adult size so you can do the same with your sweetheart!

You need to be able to cast-on, cast-off, knit, purl, increase a stitch, decrease by knitting together, and sew 2 pieces of knitting together using any sewing technique you like.

The pattern includes a bonus 2 page photo tutorial showing you how to darn away all your coloured ends neatly and invisibly.

Requires scraps of coloured yarn, and 1 x 100g skein of main colour chunky (bulky) wool. Adult size needs 2 skeins.
