This is a quick and easy crochet pattern to make a single-coloured cat. They are very simple to make, the head and body are worked together in one piece.

Crochet yourself a Black, White or Blue(Grey) cat, maybe even matching your own little crochet buddy! You can change the eye colours to suit.

The pattern is ideal for making little Black Cats as Halloween decorations or gifts!

These can be made using any yarn weight. Use a hook size at least half a size smaller than recommended, to keep your stitches compact. Your own choice of yarn and hook will determine the finished size.

I have used Worsted (UK Aran) weight yarn with a 4mm hook for my cat. My cat measures 4.25”/11cm high from base to top of ears, and 2.5”/6.5cm across at the widest part of the head.

You will need:
Yarn in your chosen type or weight. Keep to the same yarn weight for each colour - approx. amounts as follows:
100yds of the main Body colour,
25yds of your chosen eye colour,
<15yds of Pink for the inner ears and nose, Black for the eyes, and White or chosen mouth colour.
A crochet hook 1-2 sizes smaller than recommended for the yarn,
Toy Stuffing (polyester fiberfill),
Stitch marker,
Yarn needle,
Scissors.
