SingulariTee
SingulariTee is designed for those precious, one-of-a-kind skeins in your stash, and brings them together into a garment that is as unique as you and your measurements.

With so many opportunities to customize and bring together those special skeins, no two sweaters will ever be exactly alike.

At least 3 different colorways are needed but many more may be used.

Sizing With Spreadsheets
Like all of my patterns, SingulariTee is a Sizing With Spreadsheets (SWS) pattern. It is #sizeinclusive and truly has no upper size limits in any dimensions.

It uses an accompanying spreadsheet (included with pattern purchase) to automatically customize the pattern to your unique set of body measurements, independently, as well as to your precise stitch and row gauge. A complete custom fit based on your unique set of measurements. As with all SWS patterns, each portion of the pattern is always tied back to a specific body measurement. No giant armholes or neck just because you have a large chest circumference!

The pattern asks you to input 3 of your body measurements, a desired length, and your stitch and row gauge. From there, the pattern spreadsheet automatically does the rest.

Fit and Ease
The garment has approximately 1” (2.5 cm) of positive ease across the upper torso and slightly negative proportional ease in the bicep circumference. If you wish to vary these ease decisions, however, the pattern also includes instructions and an automatically updating schematic to assist!

Gauge and Yarn Information
Any DK, Worsted, or Aran weight yarn can be used as long as you can reach the gauge ranges below.

To ensure good fit, precise gauge that falls within the range below is critical for this project. Once you determine your precise stitch and row gauge, choose them from the dropdown menus at the top of your spreadsheet.

16 - 22 stitches and 21 - 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) in plain stockinette stitch

Non-superwash wool yarn is recommended if possible in order to prevent stretching.

Custom Yardage Calculator
One of the challenges to such custom garments is yardage estimation. However, this pattern includes a yardage calculator! Your spreadsheet contains information and instructions on creating a gauge swatch to use with the yardage calculator.

Pattern Download - PDF and spreadsheet
Pattern purchase includes both the PDF and spreadsheet. The PDF has all charts, construction info, and finishing instructions. The spreadsheet file contains the rest! It will take your gauge and measurements and automatically do the rest of the math for you.

Swanky Emu Knits design philosophy
I’ve had to heavily modify every single garment I’ve ever knitted for myself. I know plenty of people who look like me, but my body is larger or differently proportioned than most knitting patterns seem to call for.

I create inclusive instructions to ensure my patterns work for absolutely every body size and shape, no matter what.

Everyone deserves to wear something that is both tailored to their shape and that makes them look and feel amazing.
