This half circular shawl, based on the pi shawl formula, is knit back and forth, starting with stockinette stitch and finishing with cascading rows of lace. One edge has four full repeats of lace and the other has one and a half repeats.

The lace pattern is both written and charted, with instructions for placing beads if desired.

Blocking may give the shawl a slightly asymmetrical shape, as the lace may block out further than the stockinette, making the lacier side slightly longer if desired.
