“8 sizes and 4 lengths!”

This style is so versatile, we all wanted different lengths. So here you have it—cropped, hip, tunic, and dress lengths. Or any length you’d like! It’s quite simple to customize your Slipover—for your personal style or body type, as a long layer with side vents, or as a short topper over a tee, to be dressed up or down.

We designed eight different sizes and four different lengths in a variety of summery fibers. From the effortlessly cool Shibui Twig to the deliciously lustrous Blue Sky Fibers Alpaca Silk, from the glowing and drapey Erika Knight Studio Linen to the incomparable pairing of Shibui’s Cima and Reed—there are so many beautiful textures and fabrics and colors to play with. You might want to knit a few and mix it up!

This 8 page pattern includes:

  • Color photographs by the talented Jared Flood.
  • A Special Technique—‘flat slipped-stitch’ edging (to keep those side vents from rolling).
  • Step-by-step guide for adjusting body & armhole lengths, with a fill-in-the-blank section to help with the math.
  • A tutorial on picking up stitches for neck & armhole edgings (along horizontal, vertical and sloped edges) accompanied by color photos.
  • A complete abbreviations glossary.
  • Instructions for swatching for gauge and fabric, and finishing and blocking your garment.
