Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or just getting started in the craft, I think we can all agree on how absolutely wonderful the Herringbone stitch is. There’s just no other stitch like it. It knits warm and cozily, and the pattern comes out simple yet sophisticated. So, given that I’m a sucker for 1-skein wonders, it was only a matter of time before I took the time to write up this pattern: a comfortable, stylish beanie equipped with all of the beauty and intricacy of the beloved Herringbone stitch.

This pattern only requires about three quarters of a full skein of Malabrigo Arroyo, leaving just enough for a tiny baby project afterwards! Madelintosh sport yarn is a suitable substitute if you are so inclined.

Instructions for the herringbone stitch is freely available through other sources online and can be used to supplement the instructions enclosed in this pattern.
