The sitter photo prop smocked Michelle Newborn Romper Shorties is adorable with a faux smocked stitch in front and a scoop neck with puffed short sleeves. Button closure on the back neck makes slipping baby into this little outfit easy and quick.

Makes a beautiful heirloom gift for your little loved one. It’s also a classic addition to your baby photo session stash!

Each of my patterns are created with love and with great attention to detail. Please enjoy looking through the rest of my shop for more adorable ideas for your precious one!

Size: Sitter

200 yds medium (#4) weight yarn (I Love This Yarn ‘Light Peach’)

Knitting Needles Size US 7
Crochet hook Size F (3.75 mm)
1/2” button

Gauge: 16 st x 24 rws = 4” in Stockinette

Pattern notes:
This onesie is worked as a top down raglan. It is worked back and forth from the neck edge down, forming the sleeves as you go. Once the raglan shaping is complete the stitches for the sleeves are held on separate holders to be finished later. The body is then worked flat to the legs. The legs are also worked flat separately. Legs are seamed and then the back is seamed. Button closure is added at back neck edge.
Sleeve stitches are then picked up and finished.

Pattern is also available in Newborn size as pictured in Mint:
