What am I missing?
Snakes in the Grass
Snakes in the Grass was inspired by a winding, ribbed cable and a skein of yarn in “Serpent” that my friend Michelle gave me.
A few notes…
Please swatch. I hate it as much as you do, but you may find that you have to go down needle a needle size for your ribbing.
Gauge is 26 stitches x 36 rows = 4” on the smaller needle
This is a slightly slouchy hat. To make it even slouchier than the pattern go up a needle size or two.
This pattern includes detailed instructions on how to do the cables so this pattern is great for first time cablers. There written instructions as well as a chart.
Thank you so much to my test knitters!
RetroLemon (Jenna), LorrieP (Lorrie), Hapi2Run (Michelle), & Steffinchen (Stefanie). And thanks again to Stefanie for translating the pattern!
And finally, thank you to woolylove (Michelle), the yarn enabler. Without her inspiration, this pattern would have been impossible.
