You know that feeling you get when the wind is howling, the snow is driving sideways, and you HAVE to leave the house? It’s the worst feeling to freeze your face and breathe in the painful air. That’s why I designed this winter hood with a removable mask - to protect precious faces on even the harshest of days.

This winter hood comes in sizes for the whole family ages 9-12 months through men’s large, 6 sizes in all.

No more unbearable breaths when you’re out shoveling or even just going from the car to the house. Simply button the mask onto the hood and you and your loved ones are protected.

It’s a perfect gift to make for family and friends in harsh northern climates and is quick and easy to make with size 5, bulky yarn.

The pattern includes instructions for creating braids or tassels as embellishments.

Pattern Name: Snow Day Winter Hood

Skill Level: Easy

Size: 9-12 mos, Toddler, Child, Teen, Women, Men

Materials:
You’ll need bulky yarn and a 6.50mm crochet hook and 2 toggle buttons per hood (all the specifics are given in the pattern)

The written pattern uses US Terminology and has been fully tested.

The completed hood and mask should take approximately 2 - 2.5 hours to make.
