I am intending to create a series of illusion designs that centre around various kinds of sport. These designs will take the form of small panels that can be used individually as cushions or as the motif on a sweater or put together to form a wall hanging, throw or bedspread.

This is the first of those panels, a soccer ball. The panel is approximately 16 inches square when knitted using double knitting yarn and 3mm needles.
