Worked toe-up, in fetching stripes that match your scarf. The kit makes a pair of knee socks, but if you prefer, there’s enough yarn to make two pairs of calf-length socks – one for you, one for your companion.

A clever faux seam hides the color jog created by the stripe changes, and at the same time can be used to disguise any pesky ladders you might experience.

Excellent knitting for watching a special episode of your favorite TV show, don’t you think?

Pattern is written for DPNs, Magic Loop or 2 Circulars.

Project requires 6 colors of Shepherd Sock. A kit is available from select Lorna’s Lace retailers: it contains special mini skeins of 200yds each, which is enough for a pair of knee socks, or 2 pairs of mid-calf length socks. See http://www.lornaslaces.net/retailers.asp to find a retailer.
