These socks were knit during a summer heatwave. The sunny yellow in the yarn combined with the way the spiral pattern fans out like sun rays where the toe begins reminds of the sun. Hence the name: Solar Vortex.

Though instructions are given to knit these socks cuff down, the pattern is the same in both directions. The simple pattern repeat makes this a quick, meditative and relaxing knit.

The heel is added after the rest of the sock is finished so the spiral stitch pattern is not interrupted.

Instructions are given to knit socks in narrow, medium and wide widths. Foot length is totally customizable.
