These are fairly easy and quick-to-knit socks that have a stocking vibe. They feature a fancy (and stretchy!) lace cuff and a “clock” pattern that begins just above the ankle, then divides at the juncture of the heel flap and instep and extends all the way to the bottom of the heel flap and the beginning of the toe shaping. Written and charted directions are provided.

Skills required are: knitting and purling; working in the round; working a yarn over; decreasing with k2tog, p2tog, ssk, and sk2p; casting on provisionally; picking up and knitting stitches; and grafting.

Version 2 of the pattern is current; an error in the cuff pattern has been corrected.
