Save Our Shawls! In the middle of a TV cop drama explanation of Morse Code and SOS, my mind leaped to knitting (wouldn/t everyone’s?). The dot, dot, dot and dash, dash, dash soon became yarn over, yarn over, yarn over and dropped stitch, dropped stitch, dropped stitch. Oh the possibilities!

In the end I settled on a combination of striping the two together, mixed with a little stockinette and garter stitch for texture. This SOS may not call in the cavalry, but I think it’s a great way to save yourself from plain tee shirts and knitting boredom.
