Simple ribbed socks with a (purl) twist!

These socks are named after the beautiful Cape Sounion in Greece. Undecided on a name for this design, I started looking at the pictures that I had taken of these socks. The coloumn-like rib made me think about the ancient coloumns throughout the Mediterranean which, combined with the colour of the yarn, instantly reminded me of my visit to Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon. Ah, the view!

This pattern come in four sizes which will fit woman’s size S (M, L, XL) and Men’s size XS (S, M, L).

The purl stitches in this 2x2 rib are twisted, this adds an interesting texture and really makes the knitted stitches pop.
