Grab two colors of squishy worsted yarn and make your own unique spiral!

This cowl is a treat, a little gem, so quick and easy. It involves no stranded colorwork or slipped stitches, just a simple two-round repeat, worked one color at a time. Exact gauge is not a problem. And I even recommend no blocking!

Yet the results are striking. Two yarns play against each other in a spiraling pattern full of movement and color.

Dragonfly Fibers Valkyrie yarn comes in a range of amazing colors and has a ton of bounce. I love it, and I wish everyone would get some. Wild combinations like the sample cowl in Hidalgo and Icelandic Skies are bright and mesmerizing. The other cowl is shown in Cognac and Birch, which together create a rusty-yellow mix that actually acts like a neutral accessory.

I’m thinking Silver Fox & Heliotrope for my next one. Or Titania & Limelight? District 12 and Radioactive? Nymeria & Apollo? What two colors will you use?

So many thanks to test knitters and sample knitter Beverly Crow. <3
