The Spire Smock’s knit in a twisted stitch pattern, with careful details to accentuate the waistline and a dynamic neckline to bring attention to one’s face. The stitch pattern is based on Barbara Walker’s “Fractured Lattice” but reminds me of the skyline of a medieval city, full of spires! With its three quarter length sleeves, wide collar, and single button closure, it might remind you of a painter’s smock with a much more ornate appeal.

Note, the delicious Saffron colored yarn used in the sample sweater, O-wool Classic, is knit at a tighter than normal gauge. This produces a firm fabric that will wear well and be warmer, too!
