Splinter is built in three pieces and uses short rows, stripes, cables, and textured stitches to build a piece with a graphic PUNCH – all while creating a highly wearable piece of knitwear that’s sure to impress! So grab some awesome worsted/DK weight yarn and get going!


Size: Sample as shown measures 25 in/ 63 cm from the top edge to the center point and 85 in/ 215 cm along the top edge. Size will vary due to individual gauge, yarns used, and blocking preferences.

Recommended yarn: Three colors of DK/lworsted weight yarn in solid/semi-solid/tonal hues. The sample shown uses Malabrigo Rios (100% Merino; 210 yards per skein) in the color ways Pearl Ten (MC), Apple Green (C1), and Aquas (C2).

Yardage: MC: 400 yds / 365 m; C1: 180 yds / 165 m; C2: 150 yds / 137 m

Needles: One set of US size 10/6.0 mm 32-40 in (80-100 cm) circular needles.

Gauge: 4 sts to the inch on US size 10/6.0 mm needles
