We got a lot of requests from people who loved the stitch pattern but just weren’t triangular shawl type of people. They preferred rectangular stoles.

This stole evokes spring with all its delicate new leaves unfurling to greet a new growing season. This spring feeling is echoed by the beautiful pale green colourway created by The Unique Sheep.

It uses the same stitch patterns at the Autumn Gold Shawl but in rectangular shape. Like Autumn Gold it can be knit in Tinsel Toes but we also experimented with Leili when we tested this pattern. It looks great! It is a bit more “snuggly” whereas Tinsel Toes gives a more elegant, fancy look. Both are great, it just depends on the look that you prefer or the occasions where you will be wearing it.

I hope you like it!

This stole is knitted in two halves by first knitting the border and then picking up the slipped stitches across the top of it to begin the middle section. THe two matching halves are then grafted together across the middle, or if you prefer a three needle bind off can be used.
