This cabled vest could be worn over a tank top/cami to wear during the summer, and then over a long sleeved shirt for winter wear, so really, you could wear it all year long in almost any climate. It can be knit out of Silk Twist or Super Wool. Because of the intricate cables, we think it looks best in semi-solid or solid colors which let the cables really stand out. Its a Raglans style yoke with waist shaping and three different cable chart for different sets of sizes. One for size 30,32 and 34. One fore size 36,38 and 40. One for size 42,44,46,48 and 50 The back is work with a seed stitch boarding the left and right and plain stockinette in the center. The front is work in a combination of seeds sts, and knits and purls, that set up for working the cable charts. Shaping for the front leaves a bell shape, triangle at the the bottom princesses seam. The neckline work with 1x1 ribbing pattern. The border at the arm hole is incorporated in the pattern as the seed stitches at each ends.

4/23/08 I just open the pattern store! Now you can buy it at two places, here or at the The Unique Sheep store, where you can also purchase yummy dk weight yarns!
4/20/08 Devin finished! and I sent the final copy of the pattern to Laura at Then Unique Sheep.

4/14/08 Devin, my talented test knitter is ALMOST done test knitting the Spring Vines. She knitted the vest in 40 size bust. I think she is doing the top half of the strap and hope to finish in the next few day!! Very exciting!

I’m a little smaller than my dress form. So I’m wearing a 1/2 size larger. During the photo shoot the sun was moving in and out of the cloud. So some of the picture look more yellow than other.
