Who doesn’t love a slouchy hat? With color? Sprout is a fun, quick project and uses less that 100 g of worsted weight yarn. It has fancy color work without the fancy stranding – using “magical” mosaic knitting each color is used one at a time using knit and slip stitches to create the pretty pattern. (“Sprig” Mosaic pattern from Barbara Walker’s Mosaic Knitting.) What’s better than that?

Sprout is a perfect first mosaic project. The pattern includes a basic guide on reading the mosaic chart and knitting in a mosaic pattern.

Sprout is designed to fit an average woman’s head - 18” (stretchy) circumference. The ribbing is very stretchy, making it a perfect fit for most heads!

A 2.5 in pom pom is optional, but adds the right amount of weight to make your Sprout perfectly slouchy!
