Sorry but I have done it again. This time I have squashed my favorite teddy bear in my book. The body is flat and the head is thicker so it can stick out of the top of your book. I have included the patterns to make both the rounded and longer bodies - I could not decide which I liked better.
I think these would be great for something a bit unusual for a fete or market.

The tongue sticking out is my son’s idea.

The blood/stuffing oozing out from his side is included for both body shapes and is optional.

They are knitted on 2 needles. Use worsted weight (8 ply) yarn for your hardback books and 4 ply (fingering) for your paperbacks (makes it thinner and smaller) A great project for a beginner. It is about 15 cm (6”) long in the 4 ply and 17cm (7”) long for the 8 ply long body.
