On a recent trip to Banff, Alberta I hiked along some lovely streets named after the wildlife that is in the area. The trip inspired all sorts of knitting and here is just one of the tuques it inspired.

There are many different ways to spell tuque, toque, touque. Tuque is the traditionally accepted Canadian spelling. Just ask wikki.

Rowan Finest yarn is an exquisite blend of merino, alpaca and cashmere. This yarn creates a lovely, light and very wearable cap.

MATERIALS
You will need approximately 220 to 260 metres of this fingering yarn. Grab another ball to make your sample swatch or to make the crown even slouchier.

This piece was photographed in colour Joy (SH064) and Rapture (SH068)
