Questa sciarpa, unisex, si ispira alle stelle cadenti ed allo stesso tempo è un tributo a David Bowie. Ho voluto rappresentare una stella con 3 scie separate: la parte gialla è la stella, quelle in blu e in rosso imitano il flash truccato su volto di Bowie ai tempi in cui si faceva chiamare Ziggy Stardust.

Il modello è realizzato in piano, con ferri di andata e ritorno. È basato sulla maglia legaccio e le forme vengono sagomate con l’uso di gettati e di diminuzioni semplici. Dopo aver realizzato la parte inferiore del primo modulo (rombo), si realizzano i moduli successivi (triangoli) che vengono lasciati in sospeso. Le maglie in sospeso dei triangoli vengono incorporati alle maglie in lavoro del rombo, prima di eseguire la parte superiore.
Poiché ogni modulo inizia e termina con una sola maglia, non occorre conoscere alcun tipo di avvio o chiusura. Non richiede alcuna cucitura e ci sono solo 6 capi da fermare a fine lavoro.

This unisex scarf is inspired by shooting stars and at the same time is a tribute to David Bowie. I wanted to represent a star with 3 separate trails: the yellow part is the star, the blue and red ones imitate the flash made up on Bowie’s face at the time when he called himself Ziggy Stardust.

It is based on garter stitch and the shapes are shaped with the use of yarn overs and simple decreases. After having made the lower part of the first module (rhombus), the following modules (triangles) are made and left open. The loose stitches of the triangles are incorporated into the working stitches of the rhombus, before making the upper part.
Since each module begins and ends with a single stitch, there is no need to know any type of start or end. It does not require any sewing and there are only 6 yarn tails to stop at the end of the job.
