This is a great way to use up stash yarn taking over your craft space. I used worsted weight yarn, but “Simply Soft” tends to be closer to a DK. It is so soft to work with, and I tend to use it often!

Doubling the yarn helps keep it from curling in on itself and adds extra warmth to the headband.

Two sizes are offered - the small size will fit heads 19-20 inches and the larger size will fit heads 21-23 inches.

Further adjustments can be made simply by the placement of the back button.

1-10-13 - I’m updating with additional instructions if you would like to add on another layer of petals. I also caught a small error in Round 3 of the large petals that should read Embellish the center of the flower by sewing on a (large) button with either yarn or sewing thread. I had left out the word “button.”
