This cuff-down sock pattern uses slipped stitches to get the color effect -- you are only working with one color at a time! It’s a good pattern to help tame that wildly variegated yarn in your stash.

When selecting your yarns, make sure there is contrast between the two yarns. Viewing the two yarns in a black and white photo will easily show if there is enough contrast.

This design was originally created to use up the small leftover balls in your basket, but will work nicely with solids, variegated and self-striping yarn with smaller stripe repeats.
