Revised, updated, and expanded pattern coming February 27th (National Strawberry Day!) very very soon! I’m reworking the pattern for five sizes and so that they’re made completely in the round.

Sweet little Strawberry Booties for sweet babies!

The booties are knitted in the round and can be tied with ribbon or knitted i-cord ties to help them stay snugly on busy baby feet. The seeds are knitted right in and the booties are topped with a lacy, leafy cuff.

Strawberry Booties make perfect shower, birthday, or holiday gifts.

SIZE:
Extra small, (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large)
Finished sole length approximately:
2.5 (3, 3.25, 3.5, 4)” | 6.5 (7.5, 8, 9, 10) cm
Size will vary according to yarn selection and personal gauge.

MATERIALS:
--Approx. 18-33g fingering weight yarn; MC (red) approx. 10 12, 14, 16, 20g; CC (green) approx. 8 9, 10, 11, 13g
--US #1 | 2.25 mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge
--Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
--Optional: 1 yard | 1 meter of 1/4” | 6mm ribbon

GAUGE | TENSION:
Gauge is not critical, but it will affect the finished size of the booties. You are aiming for a fairly dense, rather than a loose, knitted fabric.
Approx. 32 sts = 4” | 10 cm in stockinette stitch.

SKILLS NEEDED:
Techniques include knit, purl, increases and decreases, knitting in the round, casting on, binding off.
