One size: 13 cm / 5” deep x 180 cm / 71” circumference

Yarn: Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift (4 ply/fingering weight; 100% pure Shetland wool; 105 m / 115 yds per 25 g ball)
Shade: Sholmit (103); 3 balls

Gauge: 26 sts & 40 rows = 10 cm / 4” over lace pattern after blocking

Needles: 3.25 mm / US 3 knitting needles
3.5 mm / US E/4 crochet hook for provisional cast-on
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: Smooth waste yarn for provisional cast-on, stitch holder or waste yarn

Notes: Striated starts from a provisional cast-on and is knitted flat in rows using a simple but striking faggot stitch edged with a chain selvedge. It is finished by grafting the two ends together so the finished cowl appears seamless.
