This is an easy, fast knit and a good choice for a first lace in the round project. Pattern requires slipping stitches at the beginning or end of some rows and moving the marker for start of round.

Instructions are given to make a smaller size suitable for a child, an average adult and a larger size for extra slouch.
Modifications are given to make a headband or a hat.

This stitch pattern reminds me of the way snowbells hang all gathered together and leaning on each other. They are one of the first flowers to break ground in the spring, even coming up through snow.
