Vertical brioche stripes and faux brioche cables adorn this cozy cowl using two colors of worsted weight yarn.

Construction Details
This cowl is worked in one piece in the round from the bottom up. Basic brioche stitches as well as brioche increasing and decreasing are used to create the pattern stitches.

Techniques Necessary

Size: One size

Finished measurements: 24”/60 cm circumference & 12”/30 cm height.

Gauge: 15 sts and 40 rounds = 4”/10 cm in Sugar Pine Brioche Stitch.

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) 24”/60 cm circular needle or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Yarn: 200 yards each of 2 colors of worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn.

Sample made with Malabrigo Yarn Rios (100% Superwash Merino Wool, 210 yds /100 g), one skein each of 695 – Peachy (MC) and 845 - Cirrus Gray (CC).

Other Materials: stitch marker, tapestry needle.
