This cardigan has modern fit that’s easy to wear, and serves as a blank slate for creative colourwork. The pattern includes detailed instructions for the stripe pattern shown, but it could easily be made in a solid colour or different striped or colour-blocked pattern.

Made in fingering weight wool, it will be comfortable no matter what the season (but honestly, I have spring in mind!)

The body is worked from the bottom up to the shoulders, and the front sections continue seamlessly from the shoulders down. Short rows are used to shape the top of the back. The sides of the body are seamed, and the sleeve sts are picked up from the body and worked in the round.

It is meant to be worn with 6-10 inches (15-25cm) of positive ease.

Shown in Holst Supersoft colours: C1= Oatmeal / C2 = Pale Oak / C3 = Graphite / C4 = Sugarsnap
