Summer Rain is soft and comforting. This large shawl offers just the perfect layer of warmth to wrap yourself in when needed. Its clean lines are refreshing and relaxing to knit. You can truly make the shawl your own by having fun with your color combinations.

Go for soothing, muted tones as in the sample, or wild with bright ones. You can also combine a pale color with a strong pop – the choice is yours!

Materials
• Yarn: 4 skeins of Blacker Yarns Lyonesse 4-ply (50% wool, 50% linen; 175 m / 190 yds per 50 g); 3 skeins of MC and 1 skein of CC
or approx. 700 m / 760 yds of fingering weight yarn; 525 m / 570 yds of MC and 175 m / 190 yds of CC
• Needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 80 cm / 32” circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge
• Stitch markers

The sample was knit with Blacker Yarns Lyonesse 4-ply in Dark Pearl (MC) and Tourmaline (CC).

Gauge
15 sts x 29 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

Note! The gauge is given for the sample shawl knit in wool & linen mix yarn. For 100% wool yarn or other blends, the gauge will differ. Choose a needle size that gives you a nice airy fabric with lovely drape, but still good stitch definition.
