Summerland is a generous half circle shawl that is crocheted from the top down in a constantly evolving lace pattern. You’ll need 529 yards of DK weight yarn and a size H crochet hook. Finished size 44” neckline x 18” deep before blocking and 50.5” neckline x 21” deep at center back after blocking. Use any weight of yarn for this project by changing the hook size to suit the yarn.

This pattern is named in memory of our black cat, Boo, who passed away in late June 2019. He is very much missed. Boo has gone to kitty heaven---Summerland--to join his siblings to play and frolic. I found Boo as a lost kitten along a rural road in October 1999. Poor guy was barely a handful and was infested with fleas, ear mites, and worms.

$72.00 was donated to Pet Refuge on Oct. 3, 2019 from introductory sales of this pattern.
