Dolphins race playfully beneath the brilliant solstice sun and moon.

This pattern is for intermediate knitters and assumes that you have some familiarity with stranded colorwork and can knit, purl, decrease and increase in the round. The chart is color coded.

I didn’t have it in mind while designing these, but I’ve been asked twice if these are Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy mitts. I wish I had thought of it. I love those books. :)

Any fingering weight yarn in 3 contrasting colors.
Animal fiber is preferable for easy blocking.
I used Cascade 220 fingering in colorways Silver (67yds, 62m), In the Navy (102yds, 93m), and Goldenrod (34yds, 31m).
