I can just see a wee baby girl laying in her stroller wearing this cardigan, hat and bootees while her parents watch the setting sun. The yarn is delicate and soft and is very pleasant to knit.
I have made this ensemble using a simple stitch pattern that will highlight the yarn and still compliment the beautiful colours in the yarn. The cardigan is slightly fuller in the skirt. The sleeves are attached with a lacy row of stitching at the raglan slopes. Bright sunshine buttons add to the theme.
The owl ears bonnet is worked in the same yarn and features the same stitch patterns as the cardigan.
Bootees in a new design will keep the little ones’ toes warm while presenting a fashion statement at the same time.
Every part of this ensemble is an EASY knit and the entire set does not take over 325m of yarn.
A sure hit with both beginner and experienced knitters. Easy, quick and just adorable when finished and being worn by your favourite little angel.
