The Sunset Beach Shawl is made with two strands of yarn: Jorstad Creek Isle of Skye, a lace weight kid mohair and silk, and Jorstad Creek Iona, a fingering weight merino and silk. Together, these yarns create a soft, cozy shawl that will keep you warm walking on Sunset Beach. With a simple lace edging the Sunset Beach Shawl is also dressy enough for a formal occasion.

The Shawl with bright blues and greens in made with Isle of Skye in Caribbean Blue and Iona in Happenstance. The elegant deep burgundy shawl is made with Isle of Skye in Lade Mary and Iona in Melisandre.

The Sunset Beach Shawl is 42 inches wide from the tip of one front to the other and 16 inches long in the back, with top-down shaping that hugs your shoulders, similar to shawls from the Faroe Islands. The gauge of the two yarns combined is 5 stitches per inch. You will need 435 yards (of each yarn) to make the 42-inch wide, 16-inch long shawl shown. With additional yardage, the shawl can be whatever size you want.
