Super Blue Moon Cowl

2018 has brought us a full, super moon at the beginning of the month, and we’ll have another super, blue moon plus a total lunar eclipse on January 31st! Wow! Get ready, stargazers! This cowl was completed during the first celestial phenomenon of the New Year.

Inspiration for this collaborative design came from Universal Yarn’s fabulous colors and textures, and uses one skein each of Bamboo Bloom Handpaints and Classic Shades Metallic. We chose one of the awesome StevenBe designed color ways for this project.

The cowl is composed of easy, modified garter stitch, and half linen stitch patterns, and may be worn many ways – doubled at the neck for extra coziness, singly as a long cowl, over the head and doubled or over the shoulders.
Knitting the cowl in the moebius style is quick and enjoyable. I have added a second version for a simple infinity cowl, as well. Both are fun and fast to knit.
Whether you knit one for yourself or many for gifts,
you will enjoy your knitting time with this yarn. It’s so much fun!

Either style is approximately 12” deep x 54” in circumference and very stretchy. Gauge: 3 sts./in.

Thank you to Barbara for her collaboration and knitting the sample.
Thank you to Katie for modeling.
