It is a well established fact that the only thing cuter than a baby is a baby with a big fake moustache. Seriously, it’s on the internets, therefore it’s a FACT.

Of course, to pull off the moustache look, a well-dressed baby needs a suitable outfit. And what better outfit to go with a moustache than everyone’s favourite mushroom-loving plumber Mario? This suit may look like 2 separate pieces, but it is in fact a one-piece romper suit with shoulder opening and inside leg opening for easy nappy changing. The pattern for the cap is also included.

Bonus: I have also included a print-out cutting guide for all the felt decorations, including the felt moustache to sew onto a suitable pacifier (simple ones with no handle and air holes in the guard work best for this). I have also included the sewing pattern for the little star plush toy.

This pattern uses knit and purl, Stockinette stitch, increases, decreases and Judy’s magic cast-on.
