Super Sonic Crochet Shorts Pattern Shell Waves Beach Shorts Sexy Cotton Small Medium Large Extra Large

Whip up these cute shorts for summer! Sexy, Light, Breathable and comfortable, this design features a shell pattern which can be made using several colors to create the effect of striped waves, or all in one solid color for a more lacy appeal.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate

YARN: Mei Mei’s Candy Yarn (100% Cotton) Yarn Size 2 FINE, 50 grams (1.75 oz); 170m (189 yd) per ball. Two balls of main color, one ball of secondary color.

---special note, I’ve made these with size 3 Cotton and they turn out perfectly fine!---

HOOK SIZE: 5.00mm (H) or any size to obtain correct gauge

SIZE: XS-S, M-L, XL-XXL (size changes in parenthesis)

MEASUREMENTS:
XS-S (Extra Small-Small): Hips: 34-37 inches
M-L (Medium – Large): Hips: 38-42 inches
XL – XXL (Extra Large – Double Extra Large): Hips: 42-46

GAUGE: 15 sc x 16 rows = 4 inches

Make a Gauge Swatch:
Ch 16
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 14 sts, ch1, turn.
Rows 2-16: (working through both loops) sc in next 15 sc, ch1, turn.

STITCHES USED:
Ch=chain
Sc=single crochet
Hdc= half double crochet
Dc= double crochet
Sl st= slip stitch
