Suzy Fox was inspired by my beautiful niece, Suzette. She really loves foxes!

You will learn a stitch I call the “dendrite half double crochet” (dhdc) which creates an interesting look to the tail!

No gauge is given but you want to create a tight fabric.

Stitches used:
mr: magic ring
ch: chain
sl st: slip stitch
sc: single crochet
sc2tog: single crochet 2 stitches together
sc3tog: single crochet 3 together
hdc: half double crochet
hdc2tog: decrease like a sc2tog only it is hdc
dhdc: “dendrite” half double crochet
BLO: back loop only
FLO: front loop only
∆: change
f.o.: finish off *
repeat directions between **
Stitches separated by a “slash” (/) are meant to be worked into 1 st.

Materials:
• Size 4 yarn of your choice in orange, black, white and shirt color (I used Red Heart Super Saver in carrot, black, white, turqua, and sml amt of warm brown)
• scissors
• needle (to sew pieces together and weave in ends)
• F hook
• Fiberfill
• Dowel 3/16th inch (found in craft area)
• Safety Eyes (9 or 10mm work well)
• small bit of white felt for sclera of eye
