Swarm
Swarm is a rectangular wrap featuring single row stripes and a textured spool stitch in two contrasting colors. It’s the sixth in my series of projects using the concept of Assigned Pooling. Assigned Pooling occurs when a change in stitch and texture is assigned to changes in color within a skein of variegated yarn. Stockinette Stitch is assigned to the main color to create a striped backdrop for the spool stitch assigned to the accent color.
Yarn: 2 skeins Nightfall and 2 skeins of Script on Barker Wool BFL Fingering or approximately 1,748 yards of fingering weight yarn designed for use with Assigned Pooling in two contrasting colors.
Finished Measurements 21” wide x 73” long after blocking.
Needles US size 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles on a 24” cable.
Gauge 24 STS x 32 rows = 4” x 4” in Stockinette ST
