Sweet Tea Shawlette
In the south we move just a touch slower through our day. It’s probably my favorite thing about living here. This shawlette was inspired by easy slow summer days and picnics in the rose gardens.
The Sweet Tea Shawlette is constructed from the top down. A small amount of stitches is chained and you increase every few rows to get this unique and easy to stitch piece.
New to crochet? This is a perfect shaw to get comfortable with all the stitches you’ll need to know. From single to triple crochet. A large hook is used to really allow the shawl to have some drape.
Allergic to wool? Try using a lightweight acrylic such as Red Heart Soft to achieve the same affect, although when blocking you will need to steam/iron the piece to give it the classic crescent shape.
