Swirls of Spring began with a desire to interpret Arts and Crafts wallpaper patterns into something knitted and something that, like the wallpapers of William Morris, manages to feel simultaneously effortless, classic, and utterly decadent. It became a soft, drapey spring cardigan with clean, simple lines and a (mostly) seamless construction from the waistband outward.

Gentle gathers at the bust and shoulders, an empire waist, an A-line skirt that falls to tunic length, and three-quarter length bell sleeves, make this a sweater that flatters many figures, wears well in many seasons, and reflects a marriage of timeless elegance and modern sensibility that was as important in the Art Nouveau movement as it is in modern fashion.
