I designed this shawl to match a dress I wore to my son’s wedding, unfortunately I didn’t manage to finish the shawl in time and had to buy a jacket instead! (The shawl was finally finished three weeks too late.)

This squishy, snuggly shawl is knit from tip to edge forming an asymmetrical triangle. You begin with garter stitch in cream, moving on to garter stitch stripes in cream and green, followed by more cream garter stitch. Changing colour for the lace section using two shades of green and ending in a few rows of garter stitch in black, with a picot edge cast/bind off.
The lace pattern is easy to follow, making it an ideal introduction to lace and texture.
The shawl is an easy knit ideal for relaxing evenings.
