Talea is inspired by the gown in Soul of the Rose, a
painting by John William Waterhouse. The undulating
trellis of roses in the body of the stole comes from the
fabric texture, and the fluttery ends mimics the draping of
the gown. The ends of the stole flare slightly, and are
weighted with a zigzag of beads for both sparkle and
drape. The second end is cast on separately and grafted to
the body of the shawl. This pattern can be worked to any
length to maximise yarn usage.

Approximately 25g of size 8 beads are required, the sample used 736 beads. Beads are placed using the crochet hook method.
