This aran cable pullover is a baggy “Boyfriend Sweatshirt” size garment.
My granddaughter requested a “loose baggy” cable sweater that was the same size as her size L hoodie. She usually wears a size 36 but the request was for a large body pullover with LONG sleeves that could reach the tips of her fingers if she had cold hands and yet could be rolled up to a cuff if she preferred.
So this design is what I created. The body is worked in st. st, moss st. and several rows of cables that extend from the hem, over the bust and to the shoulders. The cables meet at the shoulder where they extend down the back which is the mirror image of the front.
As requested by Tatianna the sleeves are set in and are loose enough for her to wear other garments under this pullover. She also wears a vest over this pullover - treating it as though it is a light jacket.
The knit design of this pullover is not a difficult pattern so if you have a teenager ( or young adult) that has the “cable craze” give this a try. Full instructions for the knitting and assembly of the garment are all included in this pdf.
