From the pattern:

“There is a great deal of poetry and fine sentiment in a chest of tea.” -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

These mittens feature a cuppa tea—both with milk and without—while teacakes and biscuits dance across the palm. The cuff motif increases the atmosphere of fun while paying homage to my favourite drink. Make these for the tea-drinker in your life!

The finished mittens measure 4 inches across the palm (8 inches in circumference). To increase the size, use larger needles and/or sport weight yarn.

You will need:

~ 110 yds of Main Colour (background)
~ 110 yds of Contrast Colour A (teacup)
~ 50 yds each of Contrast Colours B (tea with milk) and C (black tea)
Set of 4 or 5 DPNs, size 2.25 mm
Tapestry needle.
2 scrap pieces of yarn
