This is a contemporarily, newly interpreted classic of a sporty, casual-urban sweater.
A sophisticated two coloured section with a nice detail at the raglan drives the attention to the top.
Looking more complicated than it actually is, it is a pleasure to knit.
Worked top down in one piece, you can always check your size and stay in control of a perfect personal fit.
Combining two textures, by creating a stretchy fabric at the top and a firmer stockinette body, the sweater suits every shape. It is meant to maintain a closer fit to the bust, the biggest part of the arm and the upper hip, and a looser look for the rest.
Even with a larger bust size the colour work will create a slim elegant look.
Do pay some attention when you pick your colours.
You will need a strong contrast and decide whether the dark or the light colour should be the main one.
Made for a lot of use, I do recommend my welthase BFL sporty DK.
The yarn offers all the wonderful characteristics of Bluefaced Leicester Yarns that we love: it is a long lasting, elastic, strong but really soft yarn with a subtle sheen and a crispy grip.
It will keep shape, but if you want to correct sth. about the size, you can easily do it by blocking. The yarn has a memory but is willing to take on and remember a new shape :)

This pattern offers two variations for the body shape. One is for a closer body fit, here called:
the snuggle fit, the other one is a more relaxed, slightly wider version, here called: relaxed fit. The images of the pattern show the snuggle fit.
My dear test knitters did all the snuggle fit.
The pattern had been slightly modified after the test knitting. The two coloured upper front part is now slightly shorter than shown by the test knitters.

Sizes S-L will need 3 skeins of welthase BFL sporty DK colourway night blue, XL one more, and all sizes will need 1 skein of the same yarn, colourway hazel.

BITTE BEACHTEN: Bei dieser Anleitung verwende ich die ENGLISCHE Strickschrift, die ich aber auf deutsch im Glossar ausführlich erkläre. Auch alle sonstigen Erklärungen und Umschreibungen sind auf deutsch.

Dieser elegant lässige Sweater lädt ein zum Wohlfühlen. Ein modern urbaner Klassiker, der souverän und entspannt verschiedene Texturen kombiniert und die obere Partie betont. Es macht
Spass ihn zu stricken, denn es ist leichter, als es vielleicht aussieht und bleibt abwechslungsreich. Die Passform ist auf unsere Körper zugeschnitten und nicht steif nach irgendwelchen Schemen entwickelt. Top down - von oben nach unten gestrickt - kann man ihn immer wieder anprobieren und überprüfen, ob er gut passt. Körpernah an der Brust und der weitesten Stelle am Arm, sitzt der Rest lässig, leger.
Bei der Wahl der Farben würde ich raten einen möglichst großen Kontrast zu wählen, das bringt das schöne Muster am besten zur Geltung.
Ich empfehle mein welthase BFL sporty DK als Garn, denn es bietet all die wunderbaren Eigenschaften, die ich bei den Bluefaced Leicester Qualitäten so liebe: es ist elastisch, haltbar, weich auf der Haut, hat einen
guten Griff und diesen typischen unaufdringlichen Glanz. Zudem „erinnert“ es sich an seine Passform, lernt aber auch dazu, z.B. beim blocken.

Diese Anleitung bietet zwei Varianten, die Weite betreffend, an: den snuggle fit für eine eher eng anliegende Passform und den relaxed fit, der ein bisschen weiter ist.

Die lieben Teststrickerinnen haben alle den snuggle fit gestrickt. Nach deren Teststrick habe ich die Anleitung noch ein bisschen verändert, so dass die zweifarbige vordere Partie jetzt etwas kürzer ist. Dies betrifft nicht die Fotos der Anleitung.
