Knit it in cotton for a light breezy summer dress or in wool and layer with tights and a cardigan. Versatile and simple, perfect for your little girl whatever her age is.

Use a yarn with a very long repeat and you will have a pretty striped dress or solids and stripe it, it even looks interesting in variegated yarns because there aren’t any complicated stitch patterns

It can be worn as a dress and then later as a tunic once the child grows.
